NRC Handelsblad

NRC Handelsblad is a Dutch National evening newspaper aimed at people who want objective, comprehensive news which allows them to form their own opinions. Circulation has stabilised at 270,000 copies of each issue. NRC Handelsblad was established on 1st October 1970, through the merger of two older newspapers: 'Algemeen Handelsblad' (founded in 1828) and 'Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant' (founded in 1844). The newspaper follows the journalistic priniciple of strict separation of facts from opinion. It does not shun breaking news nor shy away from active journalism, meaning it must necessarily be both fast and reliable. As a result, ""NRC Handelsblad"" is able to provide current and contextual news at very high level of quality.
